We're looking for a talented Engineering Manager to work for an innovative engineering and technology company based in Bristol.

They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience in the commercial delivery experience of large complex systems.

The Role:
In the Engineering Manager role you'll be primarily responsible for all engineering capabilities for the design, test and delivery of a bespoke training solution for the royal navy.

You'll report to the Managing Director and you'll spend part of the working week in the company's Bristol office. For the rest of the week you will be working from home.

In the job, you'll be tasked with ensuring that key project and engineering duties are fulfilled.

Finally, you'll also be tasked with the management of transfer of knowledge and capabilities.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this Engineering Manager role will have relevant experience of the commercial delivery experience of large complex systems.

You'll also need experience of:
- Leading and coaching high performing teams. The team size is currently 10 engineers
- Ensuring key project and engineering duties are fulfilled on major defence engineering projects
- Managing engineering teams covering intricate design, development and integration of new technology
- Knowledge transfer, equipment development, software integration, test, evaluation and acceptance

In addition, it's essential that you possess the following:
- Defence sector experience
- Agile development experience (ideally scrum)
- ideally) memberships to one of the following: IET, BCS or INCOSE
- Chartered Engineer (CEng), or working towards CEng

You'll also need to be able to occasionally travel to visit defence sites around the UK and be security cleared to the highest levels.

The Package:
Basic salary:  £60,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience
Bonus:  A personal and company performance bonus is also available with the role - full details of the bonus scheme will be revealed on application
