Tell me more about the role...
You will be primarily responsible for providing real-time cyber threat response for clients in the banking and insurance markets.

Working in the company's London office for part of the week, and from home for the rest of it, you'll report to the Cyber Security Manager and will be tasked with the following:
- Managing Cyber Security incidents
- Performing digital forensics
- Developing the in-house cyber proprietary toolkit

The standard working hours for this role are a 24/7 rota with on-call duties.

What experience do I need?
My client wants someone who's got experience of handling cyber incidents and investigating them.

They'll also need you to have experience of:
- Several of the following threats: ransomware, business email compromise, network intrusion
- Scoping cyber breaches, requesting artefacts, analysis on logs and creating forensic reports
- Taking an image of a hard disk and memory dumps using tools such as ftk imager

In addition, it's essential that you possess the following:
- Experience in cyber incident response
- A broad understanding of the cyber threat landscape
- A strong technical background in computers and networks

You'll also need to be the following:
- An excellent communicator
- Able to demonstrate experience in industry computer forensic tools
- Able to demonstrate technical proficiency in at least one of these areas; network security/log analysis, Linux and/or mac/unix os forensics

What can I earn?
This Cyber Incident Response Consultant position offers a basic salary between £35,000 - £65,000 per annum depending on experience. You also have the ability to earn overtime in this role.

On top of this, there are personal performance and company performance bonuses on offer (details of which will be revealed on application).
